Description of the trip

Enjoy an unforgettable trip with our 12-day tour of Lima, Arequipa, Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu, and Cusco, a journey filled with history, culture, and spectacular landscapes.

We will start in Lima, exploring its rich history and visiting the Parque del Amor (Love Park). Then, we will head to the Ballestas Islands and the Huacachina Oasis, a paradise in the desert.
We will continue on to Arequipa, with a tour of the city and an excursion to the impressive Colca Canyon. In Puno, we will sail across the mythical Lake Titicaca and then follow the Sun Route to Cusco.

In the last part of the trip, we will explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visit the imposing citadel of Machu Picchu, and finish with a hike to the impressive Rainbow Mountain.

We will end this adventure by returning to Lima, taking with us unforgettable memories of this unique experience in Peru.

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Arrival in Lima

International Flight – Lima
Upon your arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in the Miraflores or Barranco district, chosen for their proximity to tourist attractions and pleasant atmosphere. You will then have the afternoon free to rest and acclimate.

Ballestas Islands and Huacachina Oasis

Pick up from hotel and departure by bus: 04:30 to 05:30
We start in Paracas, where we will take a boat for the excursion to the “Ballestas Islands”, there you can observe sea lions, pelicans, penguins and other seabirds. At the end we continue with the trip to Ica, where we will do a wine tasting, then we head to the oasis This in itself is amazing, but it gets even better as you have the option to sandboard on some of these huge dunes, this can be exciting and de-stressing and often you will end up with a face full of sand, but a quick shower will fix it, sandboarding is exciting, faster, it is a must for anyone who visits Huacachina, then we will return 21:00 hours approximately.

City Tour Lima

Start time: 9:00 am or 14:00 pm
This day we start the tour in the Historic Center of Lima, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for containing a great history, then we will visit the park of love that is located on the boardwalk of Miraflores with a beautiful view of the sea, then we will go to the main square of Lima where we will walk through the center of the city and also enter a church and its catacombs of the viceregal era, then go to the park of the waters.

Arrival in Arequipa and City tour

The itinerary begins with a flight from Lima to Arequipa. Upon arrival, there will be a private transfer to the hotel. Then, you will visit the Plaza de Armas with a guide about the cathedral, the portals and the church of the Society of Jesus. You will explore the monastery of Santa Catalina, a colonial complex that shows the architecture of the 17th century. The walk will include a visit to the tambos, the cathedral (outside), the cloisters and church of La Compañía, the restored dome of San Ignacio and other outstanding churches. Finally, we will visit the Bolivar Bridge to appreciate the view of the city before returning to the Plaza de Armas to finish the tour.

Colca Canyon - Day 1

The tour starts early, passing by the Yura cement factory and the transoceanic road to the viewpoint of Quiscos Uyupampa, known for the production of onions and garlic. Then, we visit the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to observe vicuñas, reaching 4000 meters above sea level. Then, in the wetlands of Toccra, you can see llamas and alpacas. The highest point of the trip is the viewpoint of the volcanoes in Pata Pampa (4910 m.a.s.l.). Afterwards, we descend to Chivay to have lunch and enjoy the hot springs of Chacapi in Yanque. The day ends with dinner and a folkloric show with typical Colca dances.

Colca Canyon (day 2) – Arrival in Puno

The tour starts in Chivay with destination to the Cruz del Condor, making a stop in Yanque to see its church and the Wititi dance. We visit natural viewpoints, Antahuilque and Wayrapunku, before observing the flight of the condor in the Cruz del Condor for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then, a 45-minute hike through the canyon to the Cruz del Cura viewpoint. On the way back to Chivay, stops are made at several viewpoints and in Maca to visit the church of Santa Ana. Finally, we travel by bus to Puno, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.

Lake Titicaca: Uros Island and Amantani

Lake Titicaca is located in the Andean highlands of the central Andes, a place where the winter cold is present and is very close to the highest navigable lake in the world with an average altitude of 3,812 meters above sea level, and also where the water is fresh, this lake is the largest in South America. We will visit several islands, one of them is the floating island of Uros, which are a native people of the area, whose majority population has settled for centuries in huge reed rafts called “floating islands”, which sail on the waters of Lake Titicaca, and whose language belongs to the Uru-Chipaya linguistic family, which we will visit, and then also know their culture on the island Taquile.

Route of the Sun

Puno-Cusco: 6:00 a.m.

Today we will depart for the city of Cusco on a tourist bus with stops along the way. The first stop will be at the Pucará Museum, which houses more than 500 archaeological pieces. Then, we will make a brief stop at Abra La Raya, at 4,338 meters above sea level, from where you can see the Andean mountain ranges. We will continue with an Andean buffet lunch and visit Raqchi, an Inca sanctuary dedicated to the god Wiracocha. Our last stop will be the church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas, built on top of an ancient Inca huaca. At the end of the day, we will arrive in Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.

Sacred Valley of the Incas

Start of the tour: 06:00 – End 19:00
First, we will pick you up from your hotel, we will make the arrival to Chinchero where we will start our tour visiting the traditional market, then we will go to, where we will find the impressive salt mines in simulated terraces called the salt mines of Maras and we will also visit the terraces of Moray incredible circular Inca terraces. In addition, we will have lunch in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in the province of Urubamba. Then we head to the fortress of Ollantaytambo and in the afternoon we will take the tourist train to the Aguas Calientes town of Machupicchu where we will spend the night.

Sanctuary of Machupicchu

The first thing we will do will be the transfer to the buses to the Inca city of Machupicchu that usually operate early in the morning, then we will see how spectacular is the Inca city where you will have the guided tour for 3 hours, for your better understanding of the history, there is also the option of the mountain of Huaynapicchu; also you will have the option to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Machupicchu; later, we return to Aguas Calientes and then we go to the train station to leave. We will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Mountain of Colors

Pick up from your hotel at 04:00 to 04:30 AM
We will make a first stop in Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast, and then continue with the route of approximately 5 kilometers to the 7 Colors Mountain. The hike is approximately 2 hours, throughout the journey we will appreciate the breathtaking scenery. Upon reaching the top we will observe the wonderful colors of the mountain, we will have some time to enjoy the natural wonder of the mountain of 7 colors whose multicolored shades are due to different minerals. Also, we will be able to take a photo session. Finally, we will enjoy lunch in Cusipata, and return to Cusco at approximately 17:30.

On this last day, we will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Juliaca airport.
