Uros and Taquile Islands
The tour begins with pickup from hotels in downtown Puno and transfer to the port, where we board a boat bound for the floating islands of the Uros. There we explore these fascinating islands built with totora reeds and learn about the lives of their inhabitants. We then continue sailing to Taquile Island. Upon arrival, we take a leisurely walk to a local restaurant, where we enjoy a talk by the guide about the history, culture, and traditions of the community.
Afterwards, we shared a typical lunch of grilled trout or tortilla, accompanied by quinoa soup and hot drinks. Later, we continued exploring the island on foot, appreciating its natural beauty and renowned handicrafts, before returning to Puno and transferring back to the hotels.
